NMIXX was recently appointed as the official ambassador for the 'Girls Can Dream, Girls Can Achieve' campaign, organized by the British Embassy. The appointment ceremony was held on the 11th at the British Embassy residence. Seema Malhotra, UK Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development, Colin Crooks, British Ambassador to South Korea, and the members of NMIXX graced the event with their presence.
During the ceremony, Under Secretary Malhotra personally presented the members with their letters of appointment. This was followed by a discussion on the girls' growth and empowerment, dreams and career paths, and the meaning of role models. Attendees shared various experiences and exchanged opinions on the values pursued by the campaign.
The British Embassy explained that NMIXX was selected as ambassadors because the confidence and spirit of challenge they have conveyed through their music and performances align well with the direction of the campaign. Leader Haewon shared her thoughts, stating, "It is meaningful to be a part of this campaign," and added, "I want to convey a hopeful message so that many girls can believe in their own potential and move forward toward their dreams."
Ambassador Colin Crooks expressed his anticipation, noting, "NMIXX are representative role models that inspire girls around the world," and adding, "Their success stories will instill in young women the will to take on challenges and pursue their dreams."
This campaign sets the empowerment of women and girls as its core objective. It aims to convey a positive influence to future generations through cultural content while also placing significance on expanding cultural exchange between Korea and the UK.
