In an interview conducted after the photoshoot, Hyeri shared her thoughts on being selected as the 'Next Actor' for the 14th Muju Mountain Village Film Festival. Hyeri said, "This 'Next Actor' project was a turning point for me in many ways. I spent nearly a year preparing for everything, from the exhibition and book to the trailer video I directed myself. It was a very valuable and meaningful time."
The book 'Next Actor Lee Hyeri,' which chronicles actress Hyeri's activities and filmography, was also published. Regarding this, she reflected on the moment of her growth as an actress, saying, "Actually, I'm not that cool of a person, but in the book, I look like such a cool and amazing person. So it made me think that I should treat myself better. It also gave me the confidence that I can do even better in the future."
The conversation also turned to the drama "Dream to You," which is set to premiere this coming July. In the drama, Hyeri plays the role of Joo Yi-jae, a character who dreamed of becoming a film director but lives as a struggling reporter in reality.
She hinted at a new acting transformation, saying, "Since it hasn't aired yet, I haven't seen the show, so I am also very curious to see how it turns out. If I were to cautiously predict, I think viewers will get the impression that the innocent Hyeri has matured and become more like an adult."
Hyeri, who has been consistently active in variety shows alongside her acting career, stated, "I didn't have any grand goals; it seems like it was just a series of choices made moment by moment. However, since there are many people who like my appearances on variety shows, I naturally feel a sense of accomplishment. I intend to continue working hard in the future."
Regarding the driving force that enables her to consistently take on new challenges, she expressed her affection for her fans, stating, "I feel a sense of pride when I look at the results I have accumulated. I think the desire to capture a lot of myself from those days serves as my driving force. It has been 16 years since my debut, and the excitement of being able to show my fans a new side of myself that is still beautiful is what keeps me moving."
She then cited excitement as the emotion she feels most strongly right now. Hyeri said, "It feels like my dopamine goes through the roof right before I show something. It was the same for the Muju Mountain Village Film Festival, the broadcast of 'Dream to You,' and my first cover with Cosmopolitan. The excitement and thrill of opening a gift allows me to give my 100%," raising expectations for her future activities.
